Pure tone audiometry (PTA) is the key hearing test used by our Hearing Experts to identify hearing threshold levels of an individual, enabling determination of the degree, type and configuration of a hearing loss and thus providing a basis for diagnosis.
Trial & Sales of Hearing Instruments
The Siemens Signia Hearing Instruments comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, and technologies. Our hearing experts determine which would be the best hearing aid suited for your individual needs, to ensure each and every person and experience the Sound of Joy.
Speech Therapy
Speech Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists help in evaluating and treating individuals with Speech Disorders, Language Disorders, Cognitive Functional Disorders (such as problems that affect a person’s learning, memory, perception, or problem-solving skills) and Swallowing Disorders.
Fluency Assessment
Individuals suspected of having a fluency disorder are referred to a speech-language pathologist (SLP) for a comprehensive assessment. A thorough assessment focuses on components known to accompany fluency disorders (e.g., affective, behavioral, cognitive, and others). Assessment is individualized and based on the person’s communication environment.
Hearing Instrument Accessories
Whether changing settings remotely, streaming audio directly, or taking advantage of rechargeability, our broad range of stylish, practical, and easy-to-use accessories makes everyday life easier for the hearing aid user.
Impedance Audiometry & Tympanometry
Impedance audiometry is an objective method based on the measurement of the pressure in the middle ear, stapedius reflexes, and tension of the tympanic membrane via Tympanometry. It is one of the most common and most accurate methods for testing the middle ear by Hearing Experts at Aanvii Hearing.
Re-tuning Hearing Instrument
After receiving your hearing aids, our Hearing Expert will set the devices to best fit your hearing needs and teach you how to properly care for them. After a few months, however, you may begin to notice some tell-tale signs that your hearing aids need more adjustment – volume fluctuations, high-pitched sounds, and discomfort. To get the most from your hearing aids, you need to have them adjusted, or re-programmed, on a regular basis.
Short Increment Sensitivity Index (SISI)
The SISI test is still widely used to determine whether the patient is having cochlear pathology. This test is based on a phenomenon known as recruitment (abnormal loudness growth).
the presentation level of the test tone with SISI score reveals the test to be effective even when presented at levels less than 20 dB above threshold. In normal individuals, the score rises gradually with the increase of the carrier tone to reach 100% at 60 dB above threshold. In sensory deafness, the maximum was reached with carrier tone at 30 dB above the threshold.
Tone Decay Test (TDT)
The tone decay test (also known as the threshold tone decay test or TDT) is used to detect and measure auditory fatigue.
In people with normal hearing, a tone whose intensity is only slightly above their absolute threshold of hearing can be heard continuously for 60 seconds. The tone decay test produces a measure of the “decibels of decay”, i.e. the number of decibels above the patient’s absolute threshold of hearing that is required for the tone to be heard for 60 seconds. A decay of between 15 and 20 decibels is indicative of cochlear hearing loss and the decay more than 25 decibels is indicative of damage to the vestibulocochlear nerve.
Articulation Assessment
Articulation Assessment is a full-featured articulation and phonology test for iPad designed for Speech-Language Pathologists and other speech professionals to assess the articulation and speech production of children and adults of all ages.
Articulation Assessment has two tests that can be administered:
Screener :
Simply select the test based on the age of the child being tested and only sounds that are age-appropriate will be presented for testing in the screener. This speeds up test administration time significantly. Not only are the sounds tested age-appropriate but the number of stimulus images are age-appropriate as well.
Full Test :
The Full test has additional testing options which allow the test administrator to specifically select which parts of speech they would like to test. The option to record a speech sample is also available with three beautifully illustrated scenes to explore.
Delayed Language Assessment
Speech and language disorders are the most common developmental problems among preschool children. Early detection and remediation of delayed language development are important in helping the child establish appropriate social behavior and acquire additional information about the world through the use of language.
The major reasons for delayed language acquisition are a mixed developmental delay, hearing loss, psychosocial factors, behavioral disturbance, specific language disorder, and major physical handicap.
Voice Therapy
The aim of voice therapy is to eliminate or improve problems with the creation of vocal sounds (phonation) in the larynx (voice box). After completing therapy, your voice should be stronger and sound like it did before. Voice therapy can also be used for prevention, to train your voice in order to avoid such problems altogether.
OAE (Oto Acoustic Emissions)
The OAE test is used to find out how well your inner ear, or cochlea, works. It measures otoacoustic emissions, or OAEs. These are sounds given off by the inner ear when responding to a sound. There are hair cells in the inner ear that respond to sound by vibrating. The vibration produces a very quiet sound that echoes back into the middle ear. This sound is the OAE that is measured.
BERA (Brainsteam Evoked Response Audiometry)
BERA is a otoneurological test that examines the auditory, brain function in response to the sound stimulus. Only the testing and interpretation of the results is performed by the doctor of an audiologist-specialist in otorhinolaryngology. With this test, it is possible to estimate the rate of passage of the nerve impulse through the auditory nerve.
