In 2001, Sonia Gera saw that Jalandhar had no single place for both hearing and speech care, so she created one. Hearing and speech are closely linked, and she believed people deserved a clinic that understood both, under one roof and with one caring expert.
A graduate of PGI Chandigarh and the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysore, Sonia brought one of the country's most respected training backgrounds back to her city. Muskan soon became one of the first centres in the region to offer customised, programmable hearing aids, fitted to each person's hearing rather than handed over off the shelf.
